ORGANISATION
Alecop S. Coop is a Mondragon Corporation company specialising in the development of training projects and a Spanish market leader in the design and manufacture of teaching equipment, facilitating the development of talent since 1966.
CHALLENGE
To recover the project’s origins as a student cooperative and to devise a sustainable activity consistent with the identity and needs of the stakeholders.
IMPROBABLE COLLABORATOR
Enorme Studio is an architecture studio comprising Rocío Pina, David Pérez and Carmelo Rodríguez that collaborates with companies, institutions and associations regarding their innovation processes at an organisational level.
PROPOSAL
Enorme Studio has advocated a project focusing on the reinvention of “needs” from both the company and the students themselves in order to generate new relationship or collaboration models in the socio-productive sector. The proposed project was structured in phases: learning from the students, learning from the company and student seeks company. To do this, student and company data will be cross-checked, new forms of relationship will be generated between them and other channels and formats deriving from this future relationship will be identified.
RESULT
Working jointly in the project were staff members and students forming part of the cooperative, but who usually have no contact with each other. External agents were also invited to contribute their views from outside the organisation.
This resulted in several projects that could be worked on: “Host of good practices”, a welcome plan for trainees and new partners, a social-work network and a maker space, an area for open innovation to generate new projects that must be carried out at three levels: the first to generate ideas, the second to seek business sponsorship and the third to develop.
