Creative Pills IrunLab 2014 (2)

Gizagune. Physical and cognitive stimulation for adults.

Gizagune want to address two challenges: to increase awareness of the Centre in the neighbourhood where it is located and its surroundings (the Lapize neighbourhood has the highest number of elderly people in Irun); to provide training to professional caregivers, especially assistants and staff who have to work everyday with the elderly (many of which suffer from dementia).

Mikel Morlas. With a multidisciplinary academic background (human resource management, art and education) and experience in various groups in the field of artistic practices, he combines the development of innovative educational projects and training in public and private organisations with his activity as an artist and curator.

To confront the initial challenge and attempt to identify other possible avenues of intervention in the organisation, the symbolic dimensions of dependence in the elderly will be analysed, a complex layer of reality that is crucial when it comes to working on improving the quality of life of people affected by this condition.

That is why work has been done to identify a series of actions destined to clear up and to consolidate the Gizagune identity:

  • To define a line of specific services based on the assistance to elderly with dependence and to its relatives.
  • To unify criteria of corporate image.
  • To assume leadership roles.
  • To detect the need for an act of refoundation of the company.
  • To design actions of external communication that are linked to significant actions for the users.

IrunLab is promoted by Irun On, Irun City Council, Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa and Bidasoa activa.
